Stuart Police Department Community Programs (SPDCP) will be hosting one of their annual events soon.

Sergeant Katie Guisinger says that the 3rd annual bike rodeo will be May 3rd, beginning at 10am at the Stuart Public Library. She mentions that the event includes free bicycle helmets with a fitting while supplies last, along with a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics presentation on the benefits of wearing bicycle helmets. There will also be a bicycle raffle, a safety course, and a lunch of a hot dog with chips and a drink.

Guisinger mentions that this event is geared towards children four years old or older, but that everyone is welcome to attend. Those planning on participating will need to bring their own bicycle or scooter. The safety course will be held in the city parking lot south of the Stuart Public Library.
