The city of Stuart will be holding their town clean up starting today.

Stuart Clean Up Organizer Bob Cook says residents will be able to offload junk items or things not regularly picked up on trash days by taking items to the Stuart Street Maintenance Yard at 220 South Fremont Street today and tomorrow. He notes that items will be accepted today from 10am to 6pm, and tomorrow from 8am to 3pm. Items that will not be accepted include tires, paint, hazardous waste and recyclable materials. Items that will be accepted at no charge include trash, large and small appliances, metal and batteries. Cook adds that there will be a special charge for certain items, with LED or plasma tvs at $20, tvs and monitors will incur a $25 charge, and a console or rear projection tv is a $35 fee.
