The Perry girl’s golf team is full of first time golfers and underclassman.  Coach Kingsley had 8 new girls on a roster of 12 girls.  Only two of those girls had competed in a varsity competition before this season.  The Perry coach tells Raccoon Valley Radio that this year will be a bridge year to get girls more accustomed with the sport.” The biggest thing this year is to just kind of get them used to golf.  Getting them to understand kind of the fundamentals and the things that you got to learn first before you really start to compete.”

Perry finished in 5th earlier this week in Winterset out of 7 schools in attendance.  Van Meter won the meet shooting a 394 while the host claimed 2nd with a 408.

The Jayettes will play at the Perry Golf and Country Club for the first time in 2025 in their next meet on Monday.
