The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Golf Team had their sixth meet of the season delayed, but have found a make up date.
ADM was supposed to play Ballard on Thursday, but the meet was postponed due to the weather. Prior to that, the Tigers won their latest match on Monday, with a 149-156 victory over Gilbert. In the meet for the nine hole average, ADM sophomore Shadd Livingston led the way with 35 strokes, followed by senior Grant Jansen with 37, then it was senior Carter Madison in a three-way tie for fourth (38). Head Coach Nolan Gitch tells Raccoon Valley Radio that every matchup versus Gilbert is generally fun.
“We have a deep program here, and it’s always good to get a win against (the) Gilbert Tigers, they’re a top golf program in the state every year and it kind of seems to be whoever has the home course advantage in that matchup kind of comes out on top lately these last couple of years. They’re always really well prepared when they show up and play, and so we know that we have to bring it and give it our all.”
The Tigers are sitting at 27-12-1 on the season, and the new date for the upcoming meet with the Bombers will be this coming Tuesday at 4pm at the Ballard Golf and Country Club.
