
On Tuesday night, the West Central Valley Wildcat soccer teams traveled to the James W. Cownie Soccer Complex for battle against the Grand View Christian Thunder. Both Wildcat teams found success picking up the sweep against the Thunder, as the Wildcat girls defeated Grand View 5-0 while the boys picked up a 2-1 victory over the Thunder.
In the girls contest, West Central Valley would take the lead early in the shut out victory and never looked back, scoring two goals in the first half. Richter would score twice in the second half, in the 47th and 75th minute to help the Wildcat girls secure the 5-0 victory over the Thunder. In the boys contest, the Wildcats would also strike early in the first half, with Pruit scoring in the 5th minute of the match. Both defenses would shine until the 68th minute where the Thunder would score, but Brandon would reclaim the lead for West Central Valley in the 77th minute to secure a 2-1 victory.
Both Wildcat teams return to action today on the road as the Wildcats travel to Treynor High School for battle against the Cardinals. The Lady Wildcats take the pitch first at 5pm with the boys to follow at 7.
