
Perry boy’s soccer hosted Central Iowa United Tuesday night. The Bluejays picked up the win 10-1. Perry built a 6-0 lead at half. Jonatan Banuelos tied a Bluejays’ record with 6 goals in the victory. The senior is having a dominant season with 11 goals through the first 9 games. He is only being out done by Jacobo Cerna-Gomez, who has 13. The ten goals Tuesday by Perry is a season high. The offense has really started to click in the last 4 matches with a combined 25 goals being scored.
Perry improves to 4-2-3 and 2-0 in the Heart of Iowa Conference. Perry is off the rest of the week and returns to action on Monday hosting Nevada. Next week will be huge in deciding a Heart of Iowa Conference Champion as Perry hosts both Nevada and Greene County.
