Postseason assignments have been released for the upcoming Track and Field State Qualifying meets.  Perry will be making the trip to Winterset on Thursday, May 15.  The coed meet will host Bondurant-Farrar, Carlisle, Clarke, Des Moines Hoover, Pella, Perry, Saydel, and Winterset.  The State Qualifying Meet is for a chance to compete at Drake Stadium in Des Moines for a 2025 Iowa High School State Track & Field Championship.  The top two individuals in each event reach the State Tournament and “wildcard” slots will be given out to the next best 8 performances across the 7 other 3A regional sites to fill the entire field in Des Moines

Perry qualified in two events at last year’s State qualifying meet.  Owen Myers in the 400M Hurdles and the Jayettes in the Distance Medley.  Both coaches, Jason Lutterman and Matt Hardy, are hopeful for more Perry representatives at State in 2025.
