The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

The Board moved into a closed session to discuss Polanco vs. Guthrie County settlement agreement to start the meeting, and then after they heard from Guthrie County Engineer Josh Sebern. They approved the noxious weed control policy and the resolution for 2025, before moving on to the five-year construction plan.

No action was taken on the construction plan, but Sebern covered three federal bridge projects for the 2026 construction year, including Bear Grove 199, Jackson 7 and Orange 389 bridges. Sebern also shared that they were looking at a locally funded project at the north end of Bay’s Branch Wildlife area, as that bridge did not meet traffic requirements for federal funding. Additional discussion also included road construction, including work on White Pole Road and County Road P48 road project. The item will return to the agenda in the April 29th regular meeting.

The final action item was renewal of the County’s health insurance plan. The representative from the company that Guthrie County goes through for health insurance sent information on two different options, and the Board chose to renew their current two-tier plan.
