The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Soccer Team hosted a tournament over the weekend, as they continue to improve under first year Head Coach Rachel Harada.
ADM played two non-conference games on Saturday, as they fell 2-1 to North Scott, but shutout Van Meter, 4-0. In the first game against the Lady Lancers, the first half was scoreless, but the Tigers got on the board in the second half with one goal. However, North Scott captured two themselves to win by a slim 2-1 margin.
ADM responded in the second game versus Van Meter with senior Jada Grove scoring the opening goal 12 minutes into the match. She would follow that up with another goal approximately two minutes later to make the score 2-0 in favor of the Tigers. With six minutes left to go in the first half, Grove tallied her third goal of the game for a 3-0 advantage. The final goal would be made in the second half as senior Hannah Desmarais got a deflection off a missed shot from a teammate as ADM would go onto win the game, 4-0.
The Tigers are now 3-4 on the season as they prepare for another non-conference matchup tonight on the road in Nevada. The action will begin at 7pm from the Nevada Score Recreation Complex High School Soccer Field.
