Saturday, April 19th

3:08am: Jason Smits 42 of Jefferson was booked into the jail to serve time.

10:09am: A deputy investigated a criminal mischief complaint in the 200 block of Lawrence Street, Dana.

11:48am: A deputy, Ogden Fire, and Grand Junction Fire responded to a grass fire on 220th Street near W Avenue.

3:49pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check on 220th Street near E Avenue.

3:53pm: A deputy investigated a single vehicle accident in the 2100 block of 295th Street. Francis Riedell of Wall Lake was working a field with a tractor and implement and struck a telephone pole. The damage to the pole was estimated at 2,000 dollars.

6:46pm: A deputy investigated a 911 hang up in the 500 block of Jefferson Street, Scranton.

7:27pm: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with an arrest in the 100 block of East Washington Street. Zachary Armstrong 39 of Jefferson was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct, interference with official acts, public intoxication, and harassment 1st degree.

7:56pm: A deputy assisted with a dog running at large near 305th Street and T Avenue.

8:53pm: A deputy investigated a violation of a no contact order in the 500 block of North 16th Street, Grand Junction.

8:57pm: A deputy investigated an illegal burning complaint near 210th Street and Neola Avenue.

11:23pm: The Sheriff and deputies assisted with a medical call on E Avenue near 310th Street.

Sunday, April 20th

10:47am: Ashley Kuenster 35 of Gilbert was booked into the jail for a violation of probation.

1:29pm: A deputy investigated an accident on Lincoln Street and State Street, Scranton. A 2006 Honda Accord driven by a juvenile failed to obey a stop sign on Lincoln Street and struck a 2006 Kia Amanti driven by Bella Linberg 19 of Jefferson. Both vehicles had an estimated 5,000 dollars in damage.

4:30pm: A deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on Neola Avenue near 290th Street. Sara Schwery of Jefferson lost control of a 2005 Buick Lesabre. The vehicle crossed the center line and entered the ditch. The vehicle is estimated to be totaled in the accident.

6:57am: Deputies investigated a fight in the 1000 block of East Railroad Street, Grand Junction.

12:04pm: A deputy removed debris from the roadway in the 1500 block of 235th Street.

12:17pm: The Sheriff and deputies assisted with a medical call in the 600 block of D Avenue.

6:16pm: Beverly Hickcox 72 of Des Moines was booked into the jail for possession of marijuana 1st offense, possession of a controlled substance 3rd or subsequent offense, unlawful possession of prescription drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

6:31pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check near 237th Street and Jordan Avenue.

8:37pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 500 block of North 16th Street, Grand Junction.

11:13pm: A deputy investigated a driving complaint near N Avenue and 110th Street.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
