The Jefferson City Council will meet tomorrow night.

The meeting will begin with a public hearing on the proposed 2026 fiscal year budget, followed by consideration of a resolution to adopt it following the hearing. Next, the Council will consider approving the third reading to amend an ordinance about the types of trees that are and are not allowed on the public easements and the required spacing for the tree planting. 

The Council will then hold another public hearing on the plans and specifications, form of contract and the cost estimate for the airport fuel farm project, followed by consideration to approve the measure after the hearing. Then, they will consider approving a resolution to accept the bid and award the contract that is contingent on receiving the grant agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration for the airport fuel farm project. Additionally, the Council will consider for approval the Greene County School District plat of survey application, a middle school housing re-development project, a facade grant, the 26th pay estimate for the Wastewater Treatment Plant improvement project, and they will hear a report from the Rural Housing Readiness Assessment.
