Greene County head football coach and Greene County Youth Athletic Association (GCYAA) will be making changes to the Youth football in Greene County. Coach Duncan said, “We’re excited to announce that going forward we’ll be going with the NFL 5 on 5 Flag model and will have 3rd-4th grade and 5th-6th grade levels. We expect to have at least a handful of teams per level, so we’ll be able to play ourselves most weeks, but will also have opportunities to play other nearby districts like Ogden and Panorama. The NFL will provide us with jerseys and flags each season, so the overall cost for families and the GCYAA will be greatly reduced.”

Coach Duncan added the main objective is to provide kids a safe opportunity to work on their skills and techniques, and just have fun playing the sport. “In the Summer we will teach the players and coaches some of the fundamental drills to work on such skills as throwing, route running, catching, coverage skills, and ball carrier tracking.” More specific information is expected soon from the GCYAA.
