An investigation is ongoing after two semi-tractors were total losses from a fire Saturday morning on Interstate-80.
According to Earlham Fire and Rescue, two semi-tractors collided on Interstate-80 near Dexter and were then fully engulfed in flames. The two vehicles were deemed total losses. According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, the westbound lanes on I-80 between exits 104 and 100, or three miles west of the Dexter area, were closed until Saturday afternoon.
Some of the entities that responded included Earlham Fire and Rescue, Dexter Fire Department, and the Iowa State Patrol. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
