A non-profit organization recently announced its scholarship winner in Greene County.

Amber Kenan with the Greene County Soil and Water Conservation District says the organization named Madison Higgins as the recipient of the Greene County SWCD Conservation Club Scholarship for $1,500. Following graduation this spring, Higgins plans to attend Iowa State University in the fall to major in animal science with a minor in genetics/reproduction. Madison is the daughter of Ryan and Dawn Higgins. One of the requirements for this scholarship was that the applicant is going to attend a post-secondary school in the fall in an agriculture or natural resources field.
