The deadline for a competition that is open to high school students in Iowa’s Third Congressional District will soon close.

U.S. Representative Zach Nunn is inviting high school students to participate in the 2025 Art Competition. According to his office, each artwork entry will be reviewed by a panel of judges, and the winner will have their piece displayed in the U.S. Capitol next year.

In addition, the winner will also be flown to Washington D.C. to attend the official art show opening and three winning art pieces will be selected to receive the People’s Choice Award, including being placed in Representative Nunn’s offices. Office staff say the final day for students to submit their artwork will be this coming Friday, and the winner will be announced on May 1st. To find out more about how to submit artwork, click here.
