The start of the week has been extremely busy for Perry golf. The Jayettes opened the week on Monday at the Tournament Club of Iowa in Polk City. Tuesday saw the girls in Ackworth at Shady Oaks Golf Course. The Bluejays opened the week on Tuesday at the Perry Golf and Country Club.
Low numbers plagued Perry in the Monday night’s meet as only three girls were able to compete. Christina Kanealy had a team low 66. Saydel only sent two girls thus North Polk won being the only squad to field a full lineup. The girls were back to full strength on Tuesday as they finished in third against Bondurant-Farrar 210, Carlisle 229, and Perry 236. Karagyn Whelchel had a team low with a 53.
The Bluejays had one meet at the Perry Golf and Country Club on Tuesday. Bondurant-Farrar took the top spot with a 174, Carlisle in second with a 179, and Perry in the final spot with 227. Freshman, Isaac Winey, had a Bluejay low 54.
The Jayettes are off until after Easter. The Bluejays are in Woodward this afternoon. Tee times are set for 1P (weather permitting) at the Woodward Golf Club. 9 schools are scheduled to attend.
