Visitation for Douglas Charles O’Brien, 71, of Menlo, will be held from 6-8 PM on Monday, April 21st at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Stuart. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Donna; his daughter Kelly (Dale) Nelson of Greenfield and their sons Michael (Danielle) Edwards, Trevor (Heather) Nelson, and Devon Nelson (companion Emmy Godfrey); his daughter Brenda (Vincent) Murphy of Greenfield and her children Corbin Bond (fiancée McKynli Newbury), Corinne Bond, and Cohen Bond; son Brian Skellenger (companion Jeanne Butcher); and son Bret (Andrea) Skellenger of Fontanelle and their children Dylan (Dani) Skellenger, BreeAnn (Troy) Kloberdanz, and Karsi Skellenger. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Aiden, Able, Asher, Alexis, and Jaxon.
Doug leaves behind his sisters Dixie (Bill) Tallman of Houston, Texas, and Michelle (Kevin) Coe of Stuart; aunt, Charlotte Frisbie of Greenfield; his brother-in-law, Vernie (Keryl) Grasty of Menlo, brother-in-law; Everett (Carla) Grasty of Stuart; and sister-in-law, Paula Frank and companion Pam VanScoy of Adel, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
