The Dallas County Hospital Foundation is trying to raise money for an equipment upgrade, and is hosting a fundraiser with an Easter-themed event running through Thursday.

According to Director of Public Relations and Marketing Tom Harmsen, the Hospital Foundation is hosting an Easter Basket Auction and this is one of many events to fundraise money to replace the digital sign on Highway 141 that’s been in operation for 15 years. Harmsen reveals the benefits the new sign would bring to the community.

“Get an option that displays color and that can be updated from a phone. That way, we can keep patients in the community up to date in real time on all of the great happenings at DCH with new providers, new service lines, there’s just a constant array of new information.”

Harmsen describes that the auction features 18 baskets that were donated by staff members at the hospital. He notes the baskets are available for public viewing inside the hospital’s atrium as well as the Perry Public Library. Harmsen shares that bidding will be completely done online, and will end on Thursday at 5pm. To see the items and make bids on them, click here.
