Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School held an educational event on Friday as many prominent figures stopped by.

ADM hosted Career Day as a way for students to learn about several occupations they might be interested in. Advisor Doug Winkowitsch shares that the school district has been doing this for the last number of years and that 39 organizations were apart of it for 2025. Winkowitsch says that he coordinated with the school counselors to set this up for the event. He marks the 2025 Career Day for ADM as a success.

“It’s very positive. There’s always things you feel like you can do a little bit better and we’ll certainly sit down and talk through those, but I think overall to coordinate that many people and get businesses in here is a tough task. (I) really want to say thank you to everybody involved. The businesses taking half a day off on a Friday and coming in and giving back to our students, it is very much appreciated.”

Winkowitsch describes that the planning committee keyed in on finding a variety of career fields for students to explore. He concludes that the students seemed engaged during the sessions and heard lots of positive feedback from the 39 representatives.
