Perry boys soccer traveled to Denison last night.  The Bluejays and Monarchs played to a 0-0 draw.  The new overtime rule for 2025 came into effect.  New this spring, a tied contest after 80 minutes results in a draw.  In a previous season, up to an additional 20 minutes would be played with the next team to score taking the victory.  If still tied, they would go to penalty kicks.  Perry ended a two game losing skid with the tie.  The match was played mostly in the midfield as neither squad could capitalize on their chances.  The Bluejays offense has struggled the last three times on the pitch.  Perry hasn’t scored since opening night against ADM.

The now 1-2-1 Bluejays hit the road tomorrow to face off with North Polk.  Perry will have their hands full with the Comets, who are 2-0.
