The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
The board recognized nine county employees as they were given certificates of appreciation. Five years of service went to Steven Cooper with the Attorney’s Office, Jeff Dumermuth from the Medical Examiner’s Office, Jackie Berg from the Human Resources Department, Kaci Brim from the Heart of Iowa Community Services, Matt Merrick from the Conservation Department, then Becky Moser and Susan Maffer from the Sheriff’s Office. Vivian Aldridge was honored for 15 years of service with the Dallas County Public Health Department and Pete Malmberg was awarded a certificate after 25 years with the Conservation Department.
Items on the agenda that were approved included a Dallas County Sheriff’s Office vehicle purchase request to transition from a 2014 Dodge Charger to a 2025 Dodge Durango, a pay application for partial retainage in the amount of $12,200 for the administration building project, a pay application for the Secondary Roads Administration addition for an upgraded garage for $473,768.81, an E&R Properties LLC ingress and egress easement agreement for the Secondary Roads Department to work on a parcel in the southwest corner of Dallas County, and a resolution to have the Supervisors to determine the size of the membership of the Temporary County Redistricting Commission by May 15th.
The meeting ended in a Human Resources Department Workshop.
