Last night, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs soccer teams faced off against the Norwalk Warriors. The Mustang girls played host to the Warriors and picked up a 2-0 victory for their first win of the season, while the Mustang boys traveled to Norwalk to Warrior Stadium defeating Norwalk 1-0.

The Mustang girls would find themselves in a defense battle in the first half, as both teams would remain scoreless through the first. The Mustangs would strike in the second half to secure their victory, scoring 2 goals to bring the final score to 2-0, for the first win of the season for DCG.

In the boys contest, DCG would score in the first and never look back, as this one goal would be enough as the Mustang defense would keep the Warriors from scoring an equalizer. The Mustang boys now advance to 1-1 after the 1-0 victory over  Norwalk.

The Mustang girls are out of action until next week while the boys prepare for back to back games tomorrow and Friday as the Mustangs travel to Des Moines Christian High School tomorrow. The action is set to begin at 7pm.
