The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Community School District is looking to spend money to assist with transporting students to and from the classroom.

According to ADM Superintendent Greg Dufoe, at the last school board meeting on March 10th, the board was able to buy two 71-passenger buses from Hoglund Bus Company in Marshalltown for $165,891. He emphasizes that the finances were able to come out of the school’s Physical Planned Equipment Levy Fund, and reveals that it will be beneficial in the future.

“This gets us early enough to anticipate delivery when we need them in the summer, and the wait time for buses has increased really since Covid, so it was important for us to take action.”

Dufoe outlines that Transportation Director Todd Liston made the recommendation for the two buses, and shares that they are scheduled to arrive prior to the start of the 2026-27 school year.
