In their March meeting, the Panorama School Board approved amending the current school master calendar.

Superintendent Kasey Huebner says that with the few days that have been missed, the district isn’t too behind, but they wanted to make sure that they didn’t get behind at all. He adds that they also believe that getting those hours in sooner rather than later is better for the students.

“We do want to value some time in April. Time spent in the classroom, we believe, is more valuable in April than at the end of May, so we wanted to add that day in April to help out.”

Huebner mentions that this allows them to not change the end day of the school year, so they will still finish on May 23rd. He adds that they don’t have any more built in snow days, so that in the chance that there is another day that has to be canceled due to weather, they will have to start adding days to the end of the school year at that time.
