Greene County Community Theatre is encouraging everyone to see their spring performance coming up this weekend.

According to GCCT Vice President Josh Tuel, the group is doing “Sylvia” by A.R. Gurney and it is a comedy about a husband Greg that brings home a dog he found in a park without consulting with his wife, Kate. He points out that the dog is actually a human that people get to see and hear a canine’s inner thoughts and communication to humans. According to GCCT, the fact that the dog Sylvia who is an attractive woman that adores Greg adds to the humor. 

Additionally, GCCT will be recognizing one of their own, Tim Pound with the honorary lifetime board member during the intermission. The main cast includes Tuel as Greg, Trisha Bauer as Kate, and Sylvia will be portrayed by Alyssa Sparks. Ashley Elliott is playing three other roles, Ash Elliott is the director and Clay Ross is the technical director.

There is some adult language used in the shows that audience members should be advised of. The performances will be 7pm on Friday and Saturday, and a 2pm matinee on Sunday at the Greene County High School auditorium. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults which will be available at the door.
