An athlete from the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Track and Field Team shares her personal goals for the 2025 season.
ADM senior Jada Grove, who primarily is apart of the 100 meter sprint, 200 meter sprint, as well as the 4×100 and 4×200 meter relays, explains that she was never the biggest fan of running growing up, but was motivated by her parents to give it a try. Grove tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she doesn’t have a typical method for preparing for a meet, but instead just enjoys the bus rides with her teammates. However, she does have some personal goals she’d like to achieve.
“Overall, just like continuing to improve my times from where I left off last year, especially like open events. The open 100 (meters) and the open 200 (meters), I want to get better.”
The Tiger Girls placed first in the ADM Coed Early Bird Meet this past Thursday, but Grove didn’t participate due to her also playing soccer, which had a scrimmage the same night versus Johnston. The next meet for the Tigers was supposed to be today, but forecasted weather conditions postponed it to Thursday at Waukee Northwest High School.
