A fundraiser is happening tonight to help with a large-scale project in Scranton.

Doug Hawn with the Scranton Alumni Community Center Board says there will be a free will donation soup supper from 5-7pm at the community center. He states that there will be chili, chicken noodle and beef vegetable soup available, along with dessert bars, ham and cheese sandwiches and beverages. Hawn notes that there will also be bingo and dodgeball taking place at the same time from 6-8pm. Dodgeball participants are $3 per person and bingo cards are $1 each. 

Hawn adds that the proceeds will be used for a roof replacement over the gym. Anyone who wants to make a donation to the project and can’t attend tonight’s fundraiser, may do so at any time to P.O. Box 2 Scranton, Iowa 51462.
