On Thursday, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs boys track team traveled to Waukee High School for the Waukee High School Boys Early Bird Meet for competitive track action against Des Moines East, Johnston, Pella, Southeast Polk, Valley and Waukee.

The Mustangs found great success from Waukee’s track as Dallas Center-Grimes walked away with two first place finishes. Senior Sam Mora would place first in the 800 meter run while sophomore Jack Meggison would place 1st in the 400 meter run and place 3rd in the 1600 meter run. Wyatt Valenta would place 5th in both shot put and discuss, while the Mustang relay teams would place 2nd in the 4×100 and 1st in the 4×100 shuttle hurdles relay.

The Mustangs are back in action on Tuesday as Dallas Center-Grimes travels to Indianola High School for the Indian Relays beginning at 4pm.
