Spring Break in the Greene County school district was last week, so this week is the first full week of practice for the Rams in both girls and boys soccer. Wes Anderson is in his first season as the head coach of the girls’ program after serving as the assistant coach. Chad Black is the boys’ head coach for the first time after being the assistant since the program began in 2018.

Both teams will have preseason action later this week. The girls go to Stuart for a scrimmage with West Central Valley on Friday while the boys’ play Le Mars at a jamboree in Denison on Saturday.

The regular season opens on Monday, March 31 with both Greene County teams playing Heart of Iowa Activities Conference matches with Grand View Christian. The girls play in Des Moines while the boys host the Thunder at Linduska Field in Jefferson.
