Panorama Elementary will be moving to a full day for four year old preschool next school year.

Principal Liz Ratcliff says that just like the current half day program, the full day program will remain free to families. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio why they decided to move to the full day schedule.

“We’re doing this just hopefully to help families with having a place for their child to be all day. I think it helps families with the work week, but also it’s just going to be better for students educationally and have that academic exposure. That’s the social emotional exposure. Better prepare them for kindergarten so they can be at school all day, Monday through Thursday.”

Ratcliff mentions that they are excited to be advancing the program, and that they have two teachers who are excited to teach the young children.
