The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

The Board approved a resolution regarding bridge weight limit postings after hearing from Guthrie County Engineer Josh Sebern. Sebern also mentioned that while they were doing inspections to decide weight limits, it was found that two bridges would need to be closed. The Board then entered a fiscal year 2026 budget work session, and approved a plan that would leave a carryover of 29 percent in the general basic fund, 28 percent in the general supplemental fund and 26 percent in the rural services fund, along with only including the already approved three percent salary increase for County employees, and not having an increase for the supervisors.

The Board then approved the assignment of a County held tax parcel, and tabled the review of optional health insurance plans until March 27th. In the Supervisor updates, Board Chair Maggie Armstrong discussed a petition to intervene regarding the Summit Carbon Solutions pipeline project, mentioning that Greene County would also be discussing one. The option of the petition will be put on the agenda for March 25th.
