An athlete from the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Basketball team was selected to be apart of the Iowa Girls Coaches Association Team.
ADM senior Kelli Storck has been named to the Class 4A squad with a few other members from the Raccoon River Conference. In her final high school season, Storck charged the Tigers by leading with 227 points on 48 percent from the field, grabbed 183 rebounds, contributed with 26 assists, 35 steals, and got 16 blocks. Storck tells Raccoon Valley Radio she tries to emulate her basketball idol of Caitlin Clark.
“I watch a lot of WNBA games, but I just love the way that Caitlin plays, and I think that I play with a lot of emotion sometimes. Actually, I don’t think, I know I do, and so seeing that she plays with emotion too but also learning to tone it in and how it can affect yourself, like I really look up to Caitlin Clark for that.”
The other plays in 4A within the Raccoon River Conference include North Polk’s Greta Dillinger, Carroll’s Katelyn Aden, and Gilbert’s Ella Henningsen and Mollie Schnormeier.
