The three counties in the Raccoon Valley Radio area are facing different levels of drought.

According to the US Drought Monitor, the entirety of Dallas County is facing abnormally dry conditions, while Greene County is abnormally dry on the eastern half of the county, and facing moderate drought on the western half. Guthrie County is seeing abnormally dry conditions on the eastern edge of the county, while the rest is in moderate drought conditions. According to the National Weather Service, Guthrie Center has recorded 1.89 inches of precipitation, and it usually averages 0.68 inches. Jefferson has reported 1.84 inches of precipitation and the monthly average is 0.65 inches, while there was no report for Perry, but usually averages 0.76. All precipitation reports are as of March 14th.
