The Warren Cultural Center is hosting a performing group that is perfect for St Patrick’s Day.

Organizers say the Des Moines Irish Session will be performing at 7pm on Monday for St. Patrick’s Day, with a traditional seisiún at WCC. Ed Fallon with Des Moines Irish Session says the group got started in 1992 with their first performance at Java Joe’s Cafe, and has about 30 total members. He mentions that five members of the group will be taking part in the performance at Warren Cultural Center. Fallon explains that some instruments traditionally used in a seisiún include a bodhran, whistle, accordion, fiddle, guitar and vocals sung in Gaelic. The event is free to attend, although those who wish to donate can do so at the door.
