Starting next year, Panorama Elementary will be offering free full day preschool for four year olds.

Elementary Principal Liz Ratcliff says that they currently offer half day preschool for four year olds, and funds from the Statewide Voluntary Program. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio how they plan to fund the full day program next year.

“So we will be using our Head Start. We’ve partnered with Head Start for several, several years. So we will be able to partner with Head Start (again), and then the Statewide Voluntary Program, that is through state funding.”

Ratcliff says that attending full day preschool is optional, and that families can still enroll their children in half day preschool, but that those families that choose that option will need to pick their children up at noon, as buses will only run in the morning and afternoon beginning next year.
