
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board met in regular session on Monday.
According to ADM Superintendent Greg Dufoe, the board held a public hearing on the plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of costs for the new high school project. After brief discussion, the board decided to approve the resolution to award the contract to Stahl Construction, out of Grimes, Iowa in the amount of $54,650,000.
Dufoe mentions that other items on the agenda that were approved included a school bus purchase for fiscal year 2027 to Hoglund Bus Company, a subscription renewal with Palo Alto Firewall for one year, a purchase of endpoint security to SHI International Corporation for $45,048.66, a wireless equipment purchase to Heartland Business Systems for $103,916.76, a middle school wrestling mat purchase for $21,979.80 from Resilite, and an agreement with Iowa School Business Operations Solutions for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year.
