The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.

A presentation was given by the Secondary Roads Department, where County Engineer Al Miller and Assistant Engineer Andy Case walked through several street projects as part of the five year construction program. Miller also outlined that the budget for fiscal year 2026 is approximately $3,115,144.84. Miller said that he was willing to give the board time to decide how they’d like to distribute the money for the projects. The board tabled the discussion and will reopen the public hearing during their meeting on March 25th at 9:30am.

Next, the board approved included several items related to the $25,220,000 for the Local Option Sales and Services Tax Revenue Bonds, specifically with a resolution to authorize the bond issuance, a trust agreement, a tax exemption, disclosure, and transcript certificates; an authentication order, and form 803G return for tax exempt governmental obligations.

Additional items on the agenda that were approved included a Secondary Roads Administration addition guaranteed maximum price amendment of final costs in the amount of $7,462,446, a dust control policy and vendor permits to six companies (Deano’s Dust Control, EnviroTech, LPD Dust Control, R and C Dust Control, Jean and Kevin Rhodes, and Wessels Oil), a 2025 Supervisors re-districting software to Esri Re-Districing for $4,950, and a resolution to accept the canvassing for the City of Waukee and the Dallas Center-Grimes School District special elections.

The board adjourned the regular meeting and held a Human Resources workshop as well as a Mental Health and Disabilities Services Region Wind Down workshop.
