District assignments were released for high school football last week. In this 5 part series, we will look at the 5 District games Perry will play this fall. Part 3 will feature the lone new face on the Perry football schedule that will be a District game.
Perry football will meet Carroll for the first regular season game this fall since 2019. The two clubs will share a District for the first time since 2018-2019 cycle. The Tigers are a perfect 9-0 the past two decades against the Bluejays. Perry fell in the most recent matchup to Carroll 49-0. The Tigers loss in the opening round of the playoffs to Mount Vernon last year. They picked up wins over Greene County and Creston two other members of the new 3A District 6. They also beat Perry in a scrimmage before the season began.
The Bluejays and Tigers share the 3A District 6 with Harlan Community, Creston, Greene County and Atlantic.
