The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Basketball team is gearing up for the second round of the Class 3A State Tournament, as they seek revenge versus the number one seed.
ADM will be taking on Clear Lake tomorrow morning for a chance to advance to the championship game on Friday. The Tigers are coming off a 59-53 win against Storm Lake on Monday, as the Lions defeated Central DeWitt 57-34. ADM and Clear Lake met earlier this season at Wells Fargo Arena, where tomorrow’s game will be played, on January 3rd, with the Lions winning it 78-62.
In that first matchup, ADM junior Hudson Lorensen scored a game-high of 23 points off 60 percent shooting from the field, but it was Clear Lake’s sophomore Carson Riser who led with 21 points including seven three pointers, followed by senior Thomas Meyer’s 19. The Lions had huge first and third quarters where they scored a combined 49 points. The Tigers will attempt to avenge their loss as their quest for a state title remains alive. The game will tip off tomorrow morning at 10:30am at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, as Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, starting around 10:15am.
