A Jefferson-based business recently donated funds to a non-profit organization that takes care of animals within the community.
Jefferson Telecom announced a donation of $500 to the People for Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) of Greene County. Jefferson Telecom is committed to PAWS and the efforts they do for the dogs and cats in Jefferson and Greene County by taking care of the animals at the Community Animal Shelter. PAWS volunteers say they are always in need of pet treats, paper towels and dish soap to assist in the daily operations of the shelter and their efforts to provide care to the animals that are there.
Jolene Anderson with Jefferson Telecom was thrilled to make the donation, along with a box of dog toys, and the services that PAWS makes in the community. She adds that this is one way that Jefferson Telecom can make a difference for an organization as they continue their efforts to give back to the community.
