Perry boys basketball finished tied for third in the Heart of Iowa Conference this year.  Since joining the conference in 2021-2022, that’s the best finish for Coach Morris’ squad.  Perry went 9-7 and defeated some conference opponents for the first time.  The Bluejays were a combined 0-12 against South Hamilton and Roland-Story in conference games the last three years.  Perry not only got their first wins against those schools, they won all four games.  Speaking of sweeps, the Bluejays won both match ups with Greene County this year.  That now makes 5 straight victories over the Rams.  Perry split with West Marshall, PCM, and Saydel to get to their 9 wins.

This year was the first time the Heart of Iowa had 9 teams after the addition of Grand View Christian.  The new guys went 16-0 to claim first.  Nevada finished second at 14-2.  PCM and Perry tied for third at 9-7.
