The Guthrie County Fair Board is holding their annual fundraiser tonight.
Fair Board Member Tyler Carney says that the festivities will be held at the Guthrie County Events Center at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds, with the doors to open at 5pm for a social hour. A meal catered by Cabbage Rose will be served at 6:30pm, with a live auction to begin at 7pm. Carney mentions that tickets for the event are available for $30, covering admission along with the meal, 10 raffle tickets, and the open bar. He adds that there will also be a silent auction and games throughout the night.
Carney shares that the grand prize for the live auction is a choice between a luxury trip experience of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and a trip to Las Vegas for the 2025 National Finals Rodeo. Another big prize includes $15,000 worth of roofing or general construction work from Schafer Roofing, with those interested in that prize able to call in and bid if they aren’t able to make it to the event. Proceeds from the event will go towards operation of the grounds and finishing building improvements, like work to the show ring.
