Zach Teague would put up an incredible performance for the West Central Valley Wildcats at the state wrestling tournament, battling his way through the tournament claiming 8th place. Since the program began in 2001, Teague is now officially the 5th Wildcat to make their way to the podium in West Central Valley history.

Head coach Ethan Cain reflected on Teague’s performance and his accomplishments. “he’s one of the toughest kids on the team or one of the mentally toughest kids I’ve coached in my career but physically he’s just he’s an animal not only is he one of the strongest guys in the heavyweight class in the entire state but he’s probably one of the most explosive guys too. Zach Teague is just the fifth West Central Valley wrestler since the current School District was established in 2001 to place at the state tournament.”
