
Perry girls basketball had their season end last week at the hands of ADM. The Jayettes fell 70-15 in the opening round of the 4A playoffs. Perry did see growth in the second year of Head Coach Kevin Klein as the team went 5-17.
The record improved this season as the team won 5 games after 4 the year prior. The offense averaged one more point a game while the defense surrendered three less a contest. The Jayettes were significantly better from the free throw line making 10% more from the charity stripe.
Perry finished in 8th place in the first year of having 9 schools in the Heart of Iowa Conference. The Jayettes battled low number all season long with just 7 girls dressing varsity.
