The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Basketball team hosted the first round of the Class 4A Region 2 game against Clarke Community.

ADM won convincingly over Clarke by a final score of 89-25. In the first quarter, the Tigers began fast, racing out to a 10-0 start, and led 22-9 at the end of one. The second quarter saw ADM erupt for 27 points, holding Clarke to five points to extend the advantage to 49-14 at the halftime break. Much of the bench played in the second half as the Tigers grew their lead to 45, as it was 67-22 heading into the fourth quarter. ADM would get 22 more points to roll onto a 89-25 victory.

The Tigers were led in scoring by junior Hudson Lorensen, who had 24 points, followed by senior Wyatt Schweiger, and junior Hudson Shull with nine points a piece. On the Indians side, it was junior Ryan Diehl, who had 10 points, then senior Brock Nall with five points, and senior Brock Watson’s four.

Clarke Community’s season ends at 5-17, while ADM moves to 19-4, as they prepare to play Grinnell in the second round on Thursday in Adel at 7pm.
