The Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center School Boards met in session Monday night.
The Boards opened things up with reports from their administrators, including a legislative update from Superintendent Josh Rasmussen. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio what was part of that update.
“Just following some of the bills through the House and the Senate, and the one that all school districts are waiting on are the SSA numbers. We know that it started at two percent in the Senate, went to the House and came back to the Senate at 2.25 (percent). So, we’re just waiting to hear where we’re going to set that number so we can get next year’s budget set.”
The Boards then approved the first semester whole grade sharing invoice, set a public hearing for the 2025-26 proposed property tax rate for March 24th, set a public hearing for the 2025-26 school calendar for March 19th, and approved reviews of the 300 and 400 series board policies. The AC Board then approved the sale of school bus number nine, and the GC Board approved a resolution for the 2025-26 budget guarantee and a regulation review for policy 605.03.
