The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
The board held a public hearing for Local Option Sales and Services Tax Revenue Bonds in the amount of $24,250,000. Following the hearing where there were no comments, the board approved several resolutions including the official statement; establishing parameters for the sale of bonds with 55 percent going towards property tax relief and 45 percent for capital projects, buildings and improvements, equipment, roads, bridges, parks, trails, conservation, economic development, and other lawful purposes; as well as a blanket letter of representation for the bonds.
The only other items on the agenda that the board approved included a change order for the newly proposed criminal court building for $49,840 and appointing Brenda Halling as the Spring Valley Township Clerk. The meeting ended in a budget workshop.
