
Last night the West Central Valley Wildcats boys basketball team faced off against the Chariton Chargers at Chariton High School for the first round of play off basketball. The Wildcats would battle throughout the entire match, even tying the Chargers at the end of the third 37-37 but would fall to the Chargers 52-49. With this the season comes to a close for West Central Valley at 5-18.
This contest would be a nail biter from the start as the Wildcats would find themselves down by 1 to start the second 13-12. Chariton would take 4 point lead going into the half as the Wildcats would stay on their heels. With the score at 27-23, West Central Valley would score 14 to tie the game up 37-37 to start the fourth. Chariton would take a three point lead and hang on until the end, defeating the Wildcats and ending their season, 52-49.
