A bowling athlete from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School is moving on to the state tournament.
Freshman Alabama Astley finished in the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Bowling State Qualifying Meet in Newton on Monday, getting her into the state tournament next week. ADM as a team bowled a 2215, tallying fourth place and according to Head Coach Sarah Boesen, improved their team score from conference by 325 points. In the three game series, Astley accumulated a total of 491, followed by sophomore Kaylee Dorwart with a 408, then freshman McKynna Beemer, who scored a 398.
Astley will be representing the Tigers at the state tournament, which is set to take place this coming Monday through Wednesday, February 24th-26th at Cadillac XBC in Waterloo.
