With President’s Day on Monday, several places are closed in Jefferson and Greene County.

The Greene County Courthouse, Greene County ISU Extension Office, Jefferson City Hall and Jefferson Public Library are closed in observance of the holiday. Greene County Auditor Billie Jo Hoskins says the Clerk of Courts Office will be open. Library patrons are reminded that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.

Jefferson residents are reminded that garbage and recycling routes will be delayed by one day due to the President’s Day holiday. Monday’s routes will be collected on Tuesday. Tuesday’s routes will be done on Wednesday. Wednesday’s garbage will be picked up on Thursday. Garbage and recycling routes will return to normal schedules the following week.
